Amazon Prime is not a wireless cable tv service but rather a service provided that allows for discounts on shipping, products, special promotions, and the television episodes are just one feature of the many provided by Amazon, all at a very affordable once yearly fee.

Even if you do not want to pay for the Amazon Prime services, you can still watch all the shows provided by them, but you have to pay. If there are only a couple shows you are interested in, this can still be one of the cheaper alternatives to cable. Episodes are usually about three dollars per episode, or you can purchase an entire season of any particular show. Whether you watch these episodes through Prime or purchase them individually, they are available for instant streaming, even to compatible televisions, making it just like wireless cable TV.
Other sites like Hulu are often only allowed to show a few episodes at a time and you must pay extra to watch the older episodes. If you do the math, Amazon Prime can be one of the cheapest alternatives to cable and wireless cable TV available that provides you with the most shows for the lowest cost at your own convenience.
